Will the frame loosen or creak over time?
The exposed frame is solid American black walnut joined to stay tight under the load an armchair takes at the arm and leg joints, rather than glued panels that work loose and squeak within a year.
Can I move the lumbar support?
Yes. The lumbar pillow is removable and unattached, so you can slide it up or down the back to meet your lower spine exactly, or take it out entirely.
What is the upholstery, and can I clean it?
The seat and back are a soft woven fabric over resilient foam — we name it as fabric, not claim it as leather or wood. The cushion covers lift off for spot-cleaning.
How high is the seat?
The seat sits at 16.9", a relaxed lounge height rather than an upright dining height, which suits reading and unwinding.
