Frequently Asked Questions
How reclined is the headboard?
95 degrees — just past vertical. It is enough that leaning back to read or scroll feels like resting against a chair, not a flat wall, without the headboard eating floor space the way a fully angled one would.
Does the bed really float?
Visually, yes — the legs are set inward under the frame, so the base appears to hover about a hand's width off the floor. Structurally the recessed legs plus center support carry the full load with no wobble.
Will it squeak over time?
It is built to resist it: solid walnut with wood-on-wood corner joints keeps metal out of the rubbing surfaces, which is where flat-pack beds develop their creak. No monthly screw-tightening required.
Do I need a box spring?
No. Slats sit under 3" apart, supporting foam, latex, and hybrid mattresses directly. A box spring would just raise the bed and undo the low, floating look.
What sizes are available?
Queen, King, and California King. Frame height is 11.8" with 7.5" of underbed clearance; the headboard stands 39.4" tall across all sizes.
