What is the headboard fabric, and is it practical?
It is Leathaire — a technical cloth that looks like soft leather but breathes like fabric, specified stain-resistant, scratch-resistant, and water-repellent. Spills and marks wipe off with a damp cloth, which is why it suits households with kids and pets.
Why is the headboard split?
Two separate cushions mean each sleeper leans into their own backrest instead of sharing one flat panel — more comfortable for reading, and it looks intentional rather than utilitarian.
Will the frame squeak?
It is built to resist it: mortise-and-tenon joinery with steel reinforcement carries the load while keeping metal out of the rubbing surfaces. That combination avoids the bracket-chatter that makes budget frames creak.
Do I need a box spring?
