Grown in the Cold North
Our Black Walnut grows in the frigid regions of the Eastern and Central United States. Unlike fast-growing South American walnut, genuine North American Black Walnut has a growth cycle of 50 to 100 years.
This long growth cycle endows the wood with high density (approx. 0.64g/cm³) and superior stability. It is hard-wearing, highly rot-resistant, and features a unique "chocolate" heartwood that deepens and becomes more lustrous with age, like fine wine.
