Sofas

Our walnut sofas are built on solid American black walnut, and every wooden part is solid wood. Seven of the nine sit on an exposed walnut frame; the Kyoto and the Komorebi show walnut only at the base. We make each one to order in our own factory and finish it in hardwax oil. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and delivery is about 10 to 18 weeks after you order.

Walnut frames and walnut bases

Seven of these are walnut frame sofas, with the walnut showing around the cushions: Alden Ridge, Daren, Sylvan Reserve, Lior, Oslo, Morris and Keal.
Eight of the nine have a mid-century look. The Kyoto is the exception: its style is Japandi.

Nine sofas, nine frames

Each one is built its own way:

Alden Ridge: a walnut arm rail running front to back over solid side panels, on round legs
Daren: flat walnut arm caps, an open back of horizontal slats and a movable ottoman
Sylvan Reserve: each arm inside an open walnut rectangle that runs down to the floor
Lior: wide walnut side panels and a slatted walnut back
Oslo: round arm rails, each heat-bent from one piece of solid wood
Morris: turned legs and spindles, with ball finials on the corner posts
Keal: open, angled arms and a slatted back between solid posts
Komorebi: a walnut base and a side-table arm with an open shelf

The Daren is our only sectional: push its ottoman against the sofa and the two form an L. The Kyoto is our only modular sofa, in single and three-seater modules.

Leather, chenille, wool and cotton-linen

Each walnut couch here has its upholstery named plainly:

Top-grain leather: the Sylvan Reserve and the Komorebi, both in cream
Leather on the Lior: top-grain on the green and black where you touch it, with PVC faux leather on the back
Chenille: the Alden Ridge and the Morris in jacquard, the Oslo and the white Lior
Cotton-linen: the Daren and the Keal
A wool blend: the Kyoto

Goose down is only in the Sylvan Reserve's back cushions. The Morris has a down layer around a foam core. The Lior, Komorebi and Oslo have feather in their back cushions.

Match the frame to a coffee table and side tables in the same walnut.

Widths, chairs and delivery

Sofa widths run from 57.1 in (145 cm) on the Keal to 122.0 in (310 cm) on the Sylvan Reserve. Five come with a single-width piece in the same design:

Kyoto, Alden Ridge, Sylvan Reserve and Oslo, each at 43.3 in (110 cm)
Keal, at 31.5 in (80 cm)

Three are low: the Komorebi at 23.6 in (60 cm) to its frame top, and the Kyoto and the Oslo at 28.7 in (73 cm).

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these sofas solid wood?

Every wooden part is solid wood, and the walnut is solid American black walnut. On the Kyoto and the Komorebi, walnut shows only at the base, and the frame inside is solid wood.

What are the cushions made of?

It depends on the sofa. The upholstery is top-grain leather (the Lior's green and black versions have a PVC faux-leather back), chenille, cotton-linen or a wool blend. Goose down is only in the Sylvan Reserve's backs, and each page names its own fill.

Which sofas have removable covers?

The Alden Ridge, Daren, Lior, Komorebi, Oslo, Morris and Keal. The Kyoto's and the Sylvan Reserve's covers don't come off.

Is there a sectional?

Yes, the Daren: a 118.1 in (300 cm) sofa plus a movable ottoman that pushes against it to form an L-shaped sectional. Without the ottoman, the Daren is a straight sofa.

Which sofas arrive assembled?

The Sylvan Reserve, Lior, Keal and Alden Ridge arrive fully assembled. The Kyoto, Komorebi and Oslo need some assembly.

Will a robot vacuum fit underneath?

We list the clearance for three. The Sylvan Reserve has 6.3 in (16 cm) of clearance, the Lior 4.7 in (12 cm) and the Keal 7.9 in (20 cm).

How long does delivery take?

We make every sofa to order. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and delivery is about 10 to 18 weeks after you order. Standard shipping is free across the contiguous United States, excluding remote areas.
