Two tables, one footprint

Closed, Bennett is a clean 55.1" walnut table for 4. Pull the lower section and a second, complete table rolls out on concealed casters, stretching the setup to 92.5" — dinner for 8, each half standing on its own four legs. No folding flap to sag, no leaf to fetch from another room.

How the slide works

The secondary table nests fully beneath the main top and glides out in one motion — the casters carry the weight, so one person can do it mid-dinner. It sits a step lower than the main surface (27.2" against just under 29"), which keeps the nested fit tight and marks the kids' end of the table neatly at parties.

Solid walnut, no veneer

Both tops, both aprons, all eight legs: FAS-grade, FSC-certified American black walnut, approx. 120 lb together — no veneer, no MDF, joined with mortise-and-tenon work under the aprons.

Finish & everyday life

Zero-VOC hard wax oil leaves the grain readable under your palm. Scratches take a light sand and a wipe of oil — a spot fix. The walnut deepens to a warm patina.
