Drawing inspiration from the Bourbon Restoration period, where furniture balanced romantic curves with structural integrity, this solid walnut vanity stool is a testament to enduring style.

The Wood: Living American Heritage 

Unlike mass-market furniture that hides inferior materials behind dark stains, our stool celebrates the natural beauty of North American Black Walnut (Juglans Nigra). We use only FAS-grade timber, prized for its rich, chocolate-brown heartwood and fluid grain patterns. Finished with a natural wood wax oil, the frame breathes and ages gracefully, developing a lustrous golden patina over time. This is a wooden vanity chair built to be inherited, not replaced.

The Design: The Dance of the Cabriole 

The defining feature of this piece is its hand-carved cabriole legs. This classic S-shaped curve is a marvel of engineering, effortlessly channeling weight from the seat to the floor while maintaining a slender, airy profile. By carving each leg from a single piece of solid hardwood, we ensure exceptional stability and resistance to wobbling—a common flaw in lesser, jointed imitations. The result is a vintage style vanity stool that feels light in the room but substantial in use.
