Chronos is a modular drawer unit: one solid American black walnut case with two full-width drawers. Each module is 27.6 in (70 cm) wide, 15.7 in (40 cm) deep and 16.5 in (42 cm) high.

One module or several

A single module works as a nightstand or a side table, or next to a sofa. Stack two and you have a chest of drawers. Buy a Single, a Pair (save 5%) or Four (save 10%) and add more later — the modules are designed to combine.

Four make a sideboard, set two by two, or a long TV unit in a row. One or two can also stand in as a small coffee table.

Sizes are for one module

How much room a Pair or a Set of 4 takes depends on how you arrange it. Measure the spot for your layout before you order.

Pulls, runners and corners

Each drawer has two raised square wooden block pulls. The drawers run on solid-wood runners. With the drawers shut, dust stays off what's inside.

We dovetail the case corners. The drawer sides are joined with mortise-and-tenon joinery.

Walnut and care

We build the case from walnut boards, edge-joined so the grain runs on without a break. The back panel and drawer bottoms are solid wood. The frame is sanded smooth and rounded.

It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut, finished in hardwax oil. The square pulls give it a mid-century look.

Dust the wood with a soft dry cloth, and wipe spills promptly: the oil resists water but isn't waterproof.

Refresh it with a hardwax-oil maintenance product when the wood looks dry. Knots, sapwood edges and mineral streaks are natural walnut, not defects.

We make every module to order in our own factory. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and it reaches you about 10 to 18 weeks after you order.

Standard shipping is free across the contiguous United States, excluding remote areas. You have 90 days after receiving your order to request a return. Custom dimensions, custom finishes and special-order modifications are not eligible for return.
