The Daren is a walnut sectional sofa in two parts: a 118.1 in (300 cm) sofa and an ottoman you can move. Pushed against the sofa, the ottoman becomes the chaise.

The ottoman makes the L

The ottoman is 35.4 by 26.4 in (90 by 67 cm) and 16.9 in (43 cm) high, the same height as the seat. Push the ottoman against the sofa, and the two form an L-shaped sectional.

Pull it away, and the sofa is a straight sofa again. The ottoman then works as a footstool or an extra seat.

You can order the sofa with the ottoman or without it.

Walnut you can see

Flat walnut arm caps, 4.7 in (12 cm) wide, hold a mug. The legs are 4.7 by 1.8 in (12 by 4.5 cm), and the base rails are 4.7 in (12 cm) high.

The back is open, made of horizontal walnut slats. We join the frame with mortise-and-tenon joinery and sand it by hand. Under the cushions, the seat deck is solid wood.

Seat and covers

The seat is 24.8 in (63 cm) deep and 16.9 in (43 cm) high. Each cushion is one piece of 45D high-density foam.

The upholstery is cotton-linen, and the outer covers come off with a zip.

Measuring for the Daren

The sofa is 118.1 in (300 cm) long and 35.4 in (90 cm) deep. Go by those sizes when you plan the room.

It's 33.5 in (85 cm) tall. Plan the wall for the full length before you order, since the sofa doesn't come shorter.

Caring for the arm caps

Use a coaster under hot or wet things on the arm caps. The oil resists water but isn't waterproof, so wipe spills promptly. Dust the walnut with a soft dry cloth.

When the wood looks dry, rub in a hardwax-oil maintenance product. Knots, sapwood edges and mineral streaks are natural walnut, not defects.

There may be a slight smell when you unpack it. Keep the room ventilated.

Every wooden part is solid wood, and the frame is solid American black walnut. It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut, finished in hardwax oil.

We make each Daren to order. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and it reaches you about 10 to 18 weeks after you order.

Standard shipping is free across the contiguous United States, excluding remote areas. You have 90 days after receiving your order to request a return. Custom dimensions, custom finishes and special-order modifications are not eligible for return.
