The Haven Lounge Chair is a reclining lounge chair with a built-in footrest, in solid American black walnut. It's 25.2 in (64 cm) wide and 40.2 in (102 cm) high.
Three positions, no lever
Lean back and lift your feet, and the footrest unfolds. To sit up, bring the back forward and press your legs down.
There are three positions: about 110° for sitting, 115° for leaning back and 128° for lying back. Fully back, the chair is about 57.1 in (145 cm) long.
The mechanism is a carbon-steel bracket, hidden inside the walnut frame.
Walnut sides you can lift it by
The arms and side frames are walnut, on splayed legs. The rounded ends of the arms double as handles when you move the chair.
Mortise-and-tenon joinery holds the main joints. The inner frames inside the upholstery are solid wood.
Two upholstery choices
The cream option is chenille, and the taupe option is plant-based faux leather. Both go over high-resilience foam.
Measuring for it
It's 31.1 in (79 cm) deep sitting up and about 57.1 in (145 cm) long fully reclined. Leave room for that length before you choose a spot.
The seat is about 20.5 in (52 cm) deep. Under the frame there's about 14.6 in (37 cm) of clearance, room for a robot vacuum.
Caring for the walnut
Every wooden part is solid wood, and the arms and side frames are solid American black walnut. It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut, finished in hardwax oil.
Dust the wood with a soft dry cloth, and wipe spills promptly: the oil resists water but isn't waterproof.
Refresh it with a hardwax-oil maintenance product. There may be a slight smell when you unpack it. Keep the room ventilated. Knots, sapwood edges and mineral streaks are natural walnut, not defects.
