The Heritage is a rocking lounge chair in solid American black walnut, 26.0 in (66 cm) wide and 43.3 in (110 cm) deep. Its back is set at 135°, and it rocks gently on curved runners.
A rocking base of solid walnut
The rocking base is made from solid walnut pieces. The runners curve from front to back, and the chair moves within about 15°. That's a gentle rock, not a deep swing.
The arms are curved and rounded, 2.4 in (6.2 cm) wide. Mortise-and-tenon joinery holds the frame together.
Loose, channel-stitched cushions
The cushions are loose, in cotton-linen fabric, and stitched across into plump sections. They're filled with fiber fill and down. Under them, the seat is slatted solid wood.
Give it floor space
It's 43.3 in (110 cm) from front to back, so leave room for the runners. The back is set at 135°, which suits leaning back more than sitting upright.

Keeping the walnut well
Keep it out of direct sun and away from heaters and spotlights, and avoid long periods of damp.
Don't wash the wood with water, or wipe it with alkaline water, alcohol or detergent. Wipe it gently with a soft dry cotton cloth instead.
The oil resists water but isn't waterproof, so wipe spills promptly. Refresh it with a hardwax-oil maintenance product. Knots, sapwood edges and mineral streaks are natural walnut, not defects.

Every wooden part is solid wood. It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut under a hardwax oil finish.
We make each Heritage to order. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and it reaches you about 10 to 18 weeks after you order. It arrives fully assembled.
Standard shipping is free across the contiguous United States, excluding remote areas. You have 90 days after receiving your order to request a return. Custom dimensions, custom finishes and special-order modifications are not eligible for return.
