A high-pressure pneumatic gas spring — no motors, no cords — glides the top anywhere from 26.4" to 41.7": armchair-side height, seated desk height, standing height. The lever sits under the rim; the lift is one-handed even with coffee in the other.

The swivel drawer

Is it really a standing desk?

For a laptop, yes: at 41.7" the top reaches standing-elbow height for most people between 5'6" and 6'2". It is a one-device standing perch, not a monitor-and-keyboard workstation — honest distinction.

How does the drawer work?

It hangs under the top on a central pivot and swivels a full circle — rotate it out from any side, load it with the small kit (pens, chargers, glasses), and spin it away. It travels with the top at every height.

Is the column wood?

No — the lift column is matte-black steel, because a pneumatic cylinder needs a steel housing, and we would rather tell you than fake a wood sleeve. Top, drawer, and the four-star base are solid walnut.

Can it hold a monitor?

The dynamic lift is optimized for 15 lb — laptops, tablets, books. A parked static load can reach 40 lb, but repeated lifting with heavy gear on top shortens any gas spring's life.
