This walnut modular cabinet is sold one module at a time. Each module is a whole cabinet you can use alone, stack, or line up with others.

Pick your modules

The Double Drawers module has two drawers on solid-wood runners, with fluted walnut fronts cut in vertical grooves. Each drawer is 28.5 × 11.0 × 3.5 in inside (72.5 × 28 × 9 cm).

The Glass Sliding Door module, our walnut cabinet with glass doors, has two sliding doors of smooth tempered grey glass. Its handles are vertical wooden bars. Some of our photos still show ribbed glass; the doors we make are smooth.

Single Drawer and Open Shelf modules are also available.

How a stack stays put

Where two modules stack, metal locating pins between the boards keep the top one in place. The two boards meet in a band 1.6 in (4 cm) thick.

Our factory lists the modules for use under a TV, beside a sofa, by the bed, as a bookcase or as a room divider.

Before you order

The Double Drawers, Glass Sliding Door and Open Shelf modules are each 31.5 × 15.7 × 17.7 in (80 × 40 × 45 cm). Under a wide TV you'll need several in a row. We measure by hand, so allow 1 to 2 cm.

If you want one long top with no breaks under a big TV, a single case suits you better. The Heritage Media Console and the Arden both run up to 94.5 in (240 cm) long. We don't give a weight rating for a module or a stack.

Room behind for plugs

The back panel sits 2.0 in (5 cm) in from the rear edge, so plugs and cables have space behind it. The Glass Sliding Door module also has a cable hole at the top right of the back. The Double Drawers module has none.

Solid walnut, inside and out

Every wooden part is solid American black walnut, including the back panel, shelves, doors, pulls, drawer sides and drawer bottoms. It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut, built with mortise-and-tenon joinery, with dovetails showing at the case corners.

We build the panels from wide boards, matched by color and grain. The walnut is kiln-dried to 8 to 10% moisture. Knots, pale sapwood and mineral streaks are natural in black walnut.

Finish and ordering

The finish is hardwax oil, with no paint. It has a slight smell when you unpack it; keep the room aired. Wipe spills promptly, since the oil resists water but isn't waterproof.

We make each module to order. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and delivery is about 9 to 14 weeks after you order. Each module arrives assembled; how you stack and arrange them is up to you.

Standard shipping is free across the contiguous United States, excluding remote areas. You have 90 days after receiving your order to request a return. Custom dimensions, custom finishes and special-order modifications are not eligible for return.

Is the glass fluted?

No. The Glass Sliding Door module has two sliding doors of smooth tempered grey glass, with wooden bar handles. Only the Double Drawers fronts are fluted.

How do stacked modules stay in place?

Metal locating pins sit between the upper and lower boards and hold the top module in position.

Where do the cables go?

On the Double Drawers, Glass Sliding Door and Open Shelf modules, the back panel sits 2.0 in (5 cm) in from the rear edge. That leaves room for plugs. The Glass Sliding Door module also has a cable hole at the top right of the back.
