Keal is a compact walnut frame sofa with open, angled arms, in three widths. Every width is 30.3 in (77 cm) deep and 35.4 in (90 cm) tall.
An open frame you can see through
The arms are open, angled walnut frames, 1.4 in (3.5 cm) thick. A base rail runs on legs, and the back is a grille of slats between solid posts.
We join the frame corners with mortise-and-tenon joinery and sand the wood smooth. Under the seat cushion, the seat board is a single solid wood panel.
Three widths, one height
Keal comes 31.5, 57.1 or 82.7 in wide (80, 145 or 210 cm).
The frame sits 7.9 in (20 cm) off the floor, enough for a robot vacuum.
Keal's limits
Measure the wall and the walkway, then pick the width.
The throw pillows in the photos aren't included as standard.
Foam and cotton-linen
The cushions are high-resilience foam, and the seat cushion is 5.9 in (15 cm) thick. The upholstery is cotton-linen, and the covers come off.
Caring for the open frame
Every wooden part is solid wood, and the frame is solid American black walnut. It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut under hardwax oil.
Dust the slats and arms with a soft dry cloth. The oil resists water but isn't waterproof, so wipe spills promptly. When the wood looks dry, rub in a hardwax-oil maintenance product.
Knots, sapwood edges and mineral streaks are natural walnut, not defects. There may be a slight smell when you unpack it. Keep the room ventilated.
