Dark green top-grain leather covers the tall headboard of the Kurumi walnut bed, button-tufted in a diamond pattern. At 47.2 in (120 cm), it's the tallest of our seven beds.
A leather headboard to lean on
Buttons draw the dark green leather into a diamond grid. Under it sits high-resilience foam. The panel is angled slightly back, so you can lean against it.
Turned posts at head and foot
Turned walnut posts with finials stand at the head and the foot of the bed. The side rails are 1.1 in (2.7 cm) thick.
Slats and height
The slats are solid pine, each 4.6 in (11.6 cm) wide. Your mattress sits on them directly, so you don't need a box spring. The slat deck is 10.2 in (26 cm) off the floor, which leaves room for a robot vacuum.
Who should pick another bed
Check that a headboard topping out at 47.2 in (120 cm) clears your window sill or wall shelf. If you'd rather have covers that unzip for cleaning, the Pebble's cushions do that.
Walnut, finished in hardwax oil
The frame is solid American black walnut, and every wooden part is solid wood. It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut with mortise-and-tenon joinery. We finish it in hardwax oil.
Wipe spills on the wood promptly; the oil resists water but isn't waterproof. Knots and color shifts are part of black walnut, not defects.
Sizes and ordering the Kurumi
The Queen is 64.6 × 84.4 in (164 × 214.5 cm) overall, and the King 80.5 × 84.4 in (204.5 × 214.5 cm). They fit standard US Queen (60 × 80 in) and King (76 × 80 in) mattresses.
We make each Kurumi to order. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and delivery is about 10 to 18 weeks after you order.
Standard shipping is free across the contiguous United States, excluding remote areas. You have 90 days after receiving your order to request a return. Custom dimensions, custom finishes and special-order modifications are not eligible for return.
