The clean-top trick

Two front drawers run nearly the table's full width, opened by routed finger slots instead of hardware — nothing interrupts the walnut face. Remotes, chargers, coasters, the puzzle in progress: everything has a place that isn't the tabletop.

Softened where it matters

The case corners are rounded — a real radius, not a token easing — and the case floats on tapered round legs. At 16.5" tall it lands level with most sofa cushions, the natural height for reaching a drink without looking.

How much fits in the drawers?

Each drawer runs nearly half the table's width and the full usable depth of the case — remotes, controllers, chargers, coasters, and a couple of paperbacks per side. The point is a top that clears completely.

Which width should I choose?

A useful rule: the coffee table looks right at one-half to two-thirds of your sofa's length. That makes 47.2" right for a 72–80" sofa, 51.2" for a standard 84", and 55.1" for larger sofas and sectionals.

Will cups mark the top?

Everyday glasses, no. Hot mugs deserve a coaster. And because the finish is hard-wax oil rather than lacquer, any mark that does set in sands out and re-oils locally in minutes.

Is it solid wood?

Yes — solid American black walnut throughout, FAS grade, FSC certified. The drawer boxes are wood, the top's grain wraps through the rounded edges, and there is no veneer or MDF in the build.

Is the height right for my sofa?

At 16.5" it matches sofas with 16–18" seat heights — cushion-level, the ergonomic sweet spot. Leave roughly 16" between sofa and table for knees.
