A Chair Shaped by Hand and Eye
The Sora takes its character from a single, expressive gesture: a wide, sculpted backrest that curves gently around the shoulders before tapering into two slender uprights. Carved from solid American black walnut, the back panel is shaped with a subtle concave dish and finished with delicate cutaway details where it meets the frame — small touches that catch the light and reveal the care behind the form.
Solid Wood, Honest Construction
Every surface here is real walnut — the contoured seat, the smoothly tapered legs, the flowing back supports. The seat is gently shaped for comfort without upholstery, with softened edges and a slight scoop that feels natural after long meals. Four tapered legs splay outward with a quiet mid-century confidence, and the rear legs rise in a continuous line to support the backrest. The whole chair is finished in zero-VOC natural hard wax oil, preserving the grain's depth and warmth while keeping the surface safe for daily family use.
At the Table and Beyond
Compact enough for smaller dining rooms yet comfortable for unhurried dinners, the Sora works equally well pulled up to a desk or placed as an accent chair in a reading corner. Its open back keeps sightlines clear and rooms feeling spacious. Available as a single chair or in sets of two, four, or six — a practical way to furnish a full table at once.
