The Helios Retreat is a swivel lounge chair that turns a full 360° on a walnut disc base. It's 41.7 in (106 cm) wide and 40.2 in (102 cm) high.

A tray that sits on the arm

A walnut tray comes with the chair. It rests on the wide arm, where a cup or a book fits.

Turning on walnut

The base is a walnut disc, 22.0 in (56 cm) across. A metal column joins it to the seat. The chair turns all the way round on it.

Tufted and green

The back is tufted by hand over high-density, high-resilience foam. The upholstery is green.

The frame inside is solid wood, built with mortise-and-tenon joinery.

Walnut and care

The disc base and the tray are solid American black walnut, and every wooden part is solid wood. It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut, finished in hardwax oil.

Dust the wood with a soft dry cloth, and wipe spills promptly: the oil resists water but isn't waterproof.

Refresh it with a hardwax-oil maintenance product. There may be a slight smell when you unpack it. Keep the room ventilated. Knots, sapwood edges and mineral streaks are natural walnut, not defects.
