A round table that lives against the wall

Most extendable tables solve for the party and ignore the other 360 days. Alden does both: kept compact, its flat side sits flush to the wall — a daily table for two or three that leaves the walkway open. When people come, the concealed fold-open support swings out and the top becomes a full circle.

No leaves in the closet

The expansion stores in the table itself — nothing to carry from another room, no panels leaning in a closet waiting to warp differently than the top. Even the pull is carved into the apron: a recessed walnut handhold, no metal to catch a hip.

Sizes & seating

Two sizes: 53" opens to seat 4, 6 in a pinch; 59" opens to seat 6. Compact against the wall, both serve two or three. Standard 29.5" height, on legs that meet the apron in one smooth radius.

Solid walnut throughout

Top, apron, and legs are FAS-grade, FSC-certified American black walnut — no veneer, no MDF — under a zero-VOC hard wax oil you can spot-repair with a light sand and fresh oil. It darkens gracefully into a warm patina.

Can one person open it?

Yes — the mechanism is a fold-open support, not a heavy slide-apart frame, and the recessed pull carved into the apron gives you the grip. It's a one-person, under-a-minute job.

How many does it seat open and closed?

Against the wall it's a comfortable two, workable three. Opened round, the 53" seats 4 (6 in a pinch) and the 59" seats 6.
