We do not use stains to mimic quality. The deep, chocolate-mocha hues you see are the natural heartwood of FAS-Grade North American Black Walnut (Juglans nigra). Sourced responsibly from the temperate hardwood forests of the Eastern United States, this timber is prized for its shock resistance, decay resistance, and dimensional stability. Over time, your table will not fade; it will ripen, developing a lustrous golden-brown patina that tells the story of its life in your home.
