Most long tables stretch cheap wood with patchwork joints and veneer. Helios runs full-length walnut boards end to end — sturdy enough to sit on the edge of without a creak, and we photographed exactly that.

Full-length boards, no patchwork

Stand the Helios top on end — we did, in the photos — and you can read each walnut board running the full length, no finger-jointed patchwork stretching short offcuts into a long top. At 71", 83", or 91", that's an increasingly rare way to build, and it's why the grain flows instead of stuttering.

Big table, light stance

Four turned legs splay gently outward from under the top — no apron, no bulk, just clearance. Knees and crossed legs fit; the 91" length seats 8 without the table reading heavy in the room.

Sizes & seating

71" × 33.5" seats 6; 83" × 35.5" seats 8; 91" × 35.5" seats 8 with elbow room to spare. All 29.5" tall, approx. 150 lb. It also makes a serious work desk — the no-apron clearance is a gift to office chairs.

Solid walnut, honestly finished

FAS-grade, FSC-certified American black walnut under zero-VOC hard wax oil — spot-repairable, water-beading, and headed toward a warm patina rather than a peeling topcoat.

What does "full-length boards" actually mean?

Each plank in the top runs the entire length of the table — 91" boards on the biggest size — instead of short offcuts finger-jointed together. You can see it in the grain: it flows end to end without breaks.

Can it work as a desk or conference table?

Yes, and well — there's no apron under the top, so office chairs with arms pull all the way in. The 91" size seats three across one side as a shared work table.

How many people fit?

71" seats 6; 83" seats 8; 91" seats 8 generously. Count 24" per place setting and the math stays honest.
