The Helios round dining table stands on a spiral pedestal of solid walnut. There are no legs at the rim.
How the spiral is built
We cut the column from walnut in layers, then stack them and turn each one a step from the last. It's all solid wood.
The column stands on a painted steel base disc.
A white lazy Susan you can leave off
A white lazy Susan sits on the center of the top and turns. The table works with it or without it.
The top is glued up from wide boards, matched for color and grain. The edge is bevelled, and the edges and corners are sanded round.
Steel bars, wood and oil
Three solid stainless steel bars are set into the underside of the top. Every wooden part is solid wood, and the walnut is solid American black walnut.
We kiln-dry the lumber to 8 to 10% moisture content. It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut under a hardwax oil finish.
There may be a slight smell when you unpack it. Keep the room ventilated. The oil resists water but isn't waterproof, so wipe spills promptly.
What we don't list for Helios
We don't give a seat count for either size. The tables are 53.1 or 59.1 in (135 or 150 cm) across and 29.5 in (75 cm) tall, so plan your chairs from those numbers.
We don't publish the top thickness or the size of the steel disc either. Ask us if either one matters for your room.
Ordering the Helios
Helios suits a dining room, a tea room or a study. We make each one to order. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and it reaches you about 10 to 18 weeks after you order.
It needs some assembly on arrival, and we include instructions.
Standard shipping is free across the contiguous United States, excluding remote areas. You have 90 days after receiving your order to request a return. Custom dimensions, custom finishes and special-order modifications are not eligible for return.
