The Kurumi round dining table has a sunburst top: walnut laid in wedges, so the grain fans out from the center.
Wedges that fan out
We lay the top in radial wedges. The grain runs out from the center like rays.
The top is 1.3 in (3.3 cm) thick. Its solid wood edge is bevelled underneath, so from above the top reads thin. The edges are sanded round.
Half-moon panels and metal feet
There are no corner legs. The base is a set of curved, half-moon-shaped walnut panels.
Each panel stands on a round metal foot cap with an antique-bronze finish. On the 59.1 in (150 cm) table, the base is 26.8 in (68 cm) across.
If you'd rather have one solid wood cone underneath, the Rowan is built that way.
Two sizes, one set of numbers
Kurumi comes 53.1 in (135 cm) or 59.1 in (150 cm) across. We publish the full numbers for the 59.1 in (150 cm) size only.
That size stands 29.4 in (74.7 cm) tall, with 28.1 in (71.4 cm) from the floor to the underside of the top. The 59.1 in (150 cm) table seats 8.
For the 53.1 in (135 cm) table we don't list a height or a seat count, so ask us before you order.
Looking after a sunburst top
Wipe it with a clean, soft cloth, and keep sharp objects off the top. Use a heat pad under hot dishes and keep it away from heat sources.
Keep it out of direct sunlight and damp places. The hardwax oil resists water but isn't waterproof, so wipe spills promptly.
Every wooden part is solid wood, and the walnut is solid American black walnut. It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut.
