Morris is a walnut spindle sofa: turned spindles fill the space under each arm and across the back. It comes in one size, 85.8 in (218 cm) wide.

Spindles, posts and finials

The legs are turned walnut. Square corner posts carry ball finials, and rows of turned spindles run under each arm and across the back.

We turn every turned part, the legs and the spindles, from a single piece of wood. The spindles in the back are modelled on classical columns.

The flat arm rails are about 2.8 in (7 cm) wide, with rounded ends.

Jacquard chenille in four colors

The upholstery is a four-leaf jacquard chenille. It comes in Forest Green, Apricot Beige, Deep Navy and Vintage Grey.

Each cushion has a high-density foam core with a separate down layer. The two are kept apart so the fill doesn't shift. The seat cushions come out, and their covers come off.

Screen colors can differ slightly from the real fabric.

Size and placement

It's 85.8 in (218 cm) wide, 33.9 in (86 cm) deep and 29.9 in (76 cm) tall, a three-seat sofa.

It looks finished from every side, so it works against a wall or out in a walkway. The style is mid-century, with a vintage feel.

Care and ordering for the Morris

Every wooden part is solid wood, and the frame is solid American black walnut. It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut under hardwax oil, joined with mortise-and-tenon joinery.

Dust the spindles with a soft dry cloth. The oil resists water but isn't waterproof, so wipe spills promptly. Knots, sapwood edges and mineral streaks are natural walnut, not defects.

There may be a slight smell when you unpack it. Keep the room ventilated.

We make each Morris to order. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and it reaches you about 10 to 18 weeks after you order.

Standard shipping is free across the contiguous United States, excluding remote areas. You have 90 days after receiving your order to request a return. Custom dimensions, custom finishes and special-order modifications are not eligible for return.
