Look at the back posts: two walnut dowels pin the curved crest to each side, in plain sight. That's the construction — wood through wood, mortise-and-tenon at the frame — on a chair that arrives fully assembled with nothing to bolt or tighten later.

The sit

The crest sits low and curved, catching the small of the back instead of the shoulder blades — café posture, good for dinner and better for conversation. The solid seat is carved into a shallow dish with softened edges, 17.25" off the floor: right for standard 29–30" tables.
