Our Soren round dining table sits on a cross base: two trapezoid walnut leg frames set crosswise. There are no legs at the rim.
Two frames, one X
We build the base from two trapezoid walnut leg frames and set them across each other. At the floor, their foot rails cross in an X.
The legs are 2.4 in (6.2 cm) thick. It's built with mortise-and-tenon joinery. The style is mid-century.
The white lazy Susan
A white lazy Susan sits on the top and turns a full 360°. It isn't set into the wood, and the table works without it.
Top and timber
We glue the top up from wide boards, matched for color and grain, and sand the edges round. We kiln-dry the lumber to 8 to 10% moisture content.
Every wooden part is solid wood, and the walnut is solid American black walnut. It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut under a hardwax oil finish.
One size, and what we don't list
Soren comes in one size: 59.1 in (150 cm) across and 29.5 in (75 cm) tall. There's no smaller option.
We don't give a seat count or a top thickness for the Soren. For a round table on a single pedestal, see the Rowan or the Kurumi, which both come in two sizes.
Ordering the Soren
The oil resists water but isn't waterproof. Use a coaster or trivet under anything hot or wet. A slight smell when you unpack it is normal, so keep the room ventilated.
We make each Soren to order. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and it reaches you about 10 to 18 weeks after you order.
Standard shipping is free across the contiguous United States, excluding remote areas. You have 90 days after receiving your order to request a return. Custom dimensions, custom finishes and special-order modifications are not eligible for return.
