The Suiseki round dining table has no corner legs. Five legs branch into Y shapes under the top and stand on a ring at the floor.
Branches on a ring
Under the top, five legs split into Y shapes. They stand on a ring 31.5 in (80 cm) across. Where the legs meet, we join them with mortise-and-tenon joinery.
With nothing at the rim, chairs can sit anywhere around the edge.
Sizes, and what we don't list
It comes 47.2, 51.2 or 55.1 in across (120, 130 or 140 cm), all 29.5 in (75 cm) tall.
We don't give a seat count for the Suiseki.
The underside of the top is 28.4 in (72.2 cm) off the floor, so check chair arms against that.
A thin top with a bevelled edge
The top is 1.1 in (2.8 cm) thick, glued up from 5 to 8 wide boards. Its edge is bevelled underneath, and the corners are sanded round.
We kiln-dry the lumber to 8 to 10% moisture.
Every wooden part is solid wood, and the walnut is solid American black walnut. It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut, finished in hardwax oil.
Smell, glass and spills
A slight smell on unpacking is normal, so keep the room ventilated. Don't lay film or a sheet of glass on the top.
The oil resists water but isn't waterproof, so wipe spills promptly. Knots, sapwood edges and mineral lines are natural walnut traits, not defects.
Ordering the Suiseki
We make each Suiseki to order. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and it reaches you about 10 to 18 weeks after you order. It needs some assembly, and we include simple tools.
Standard shipping is free across the contiguous United States, excluding remote areas. You have 90 days after receiving your order to request a return. Custom dimensions, custom finishes and special-order modifications are not eligible for return.
