Who it suits, and who it doesn't
The Haven comes as a single chair, with no set option. Order as many as you need.
There are no arms. If you want somewhere to rest your forearms, the Taren has heat-bent half arms.
Three rails, cut by hand
The back is a ladder of three curved rails. We cut each rail by hand from solid wood.
The seat is Danish-style paper cord: kraft paper cord, woven in an alternating pattern. It gives a little when you sit, and it holds you up.
One seat height, three uses
The seat sits 17.7 in (45 cm) off the floor. That height works at a dining table, a desk or a dressing table.
The seat is 18.5 × 18.5 in (47 × 47 cm). Overall, the chair is 18.5 in wide, 20.9 in deep and 31.5 in tall (47 × 53 × 80 cm).
Every wooden part is solid wood, and the walnut is solid American black walnut. It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut, and we join it with mortise-and-tenon joinery and finish it in hardwax oil. Wipe spills on the frame promptly.
Ordering the Haven
Each Haven is made to order and arrives fully assembled. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and it reaches you about 10 to 18 weeks after you order.
Standard shipping is free across the contiguous United States, excluding remote areas. You have 90 days after receiving your order to request a return. Custom dimensions, custom finishes and special-order modifications are not eligible for return.
