The tree's own edge, kept

Wilder leaves the live, natural edge of the walnut plank intact — the wandering line where the board met the outside of the tree — so no two benches are exactly alike. It is solid American black walnut over solid slab-style legs, a piece where the grain and the natural edge are the whole design; nothing applied, nothing to date.
