The Heritage dining table has no apron. Its legs, 2.4 in (6 cm) thick, sweep straight up into the corners of the top.
Three-way corner joints
Each leg joins the top with a traditional three-way corner joint. It's mortise-and-tenon joinery, cut in our own factory.
Without an apron, the space under the top stays open, and chairs tuck in.
Sizes, depth and chairs
There are five lengths, all 29.5 in (75 cm) tall: 47.2, 55.1, 63.0, 70.9 and 78.7 in (120 to 200 cm).
Every size is 31.5 in (80 cm) deep except the 78.7 in (200 cm), which is 35.4 in (90 cm). You can't pick the depth on its own.
The 55.1 and 63.0 in (140 and 160 cm) sizes take up to 6 chairs. The 70.9 and 78.7 in (180 and 200 cm) sizes take up to 8. We don't give a chair count for the 47.2 in (120 cm).
If you need a table that grows, the Heritage Extendable adds a 15.7 in (40 cm) leaf.
The top, board by board
We glue the top up from 4 to 6 wide boards. It's 1.7 in (4.2 cm) thick on every size, and the edges are chamfered and rounded.
Every wooden part is solid wood, and the walnut is solid American black walnut. It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut with a hardwax oil finish.
Don't cover the top with film or glass, so the wood can breathe. Put a coaster or trivet under anything hot or wet.
Ordering the Heritage
It also works as a tea table or a desk. We make each one to order, and it arrives fully assembled. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and it reaches you about 10 to 18 weeks after you order.
Standard shipping is free across the contiguous United States, excluding remote areas. You have 90 days after receiving your order to request a return. Custom dimensions, custom finishes and special-order modifications are not eligible for return.
