Lior is a walnut frame sofa closed at each end by a wide panel of solid walnut. It's 118.1 in (300 cm) long.

Panels at both ends

Each side panel is 31.5 by 17.7 in (80 by 45 cm) and 1.2 in (3 cm) thick. We glue it up from wide boards.

The side panels, the back frame and the base frame are walnut. The back is a slatted walnut frame, so the sofa looks finished from behind. Inside each panel sits a padded arm cushion 7.9 in (20 cm) wide.

Springs, foam and feather

The seat rests on sinuous springs with elastic webbing and steel fixing rings, over a solid wood seat base.

The back cushions are 45D high-resilience foam with feather and fiber wadding. The seat and arm cushions are 45D foam with fiber wadding.

The covers come off with a zip, and the cushion backs are anti-slip and perforated.

Leather where you touch it, PVC on the back

On the green and black Lior, the inner arms, the seat and the front of the back cushions are top-grain leather. The back is PVC faux leather.

The white Lior is chenille.

How the Lior sits

The seat is 23.6 in (60 cm) deep and 16.5 in (42 cm) high. The back cushions stand 19.7 in (50 cm) tall. Overall it's 34.3 in (87 cm) deep and 31.5 in (80 cm) high.

The 1.8 in (4.5 cm) legs are set in from the ends. Underneath there's 4.7 in (12 cm) of clearance, enough for a robot vacuum.

Caring for the side panels

Every wooden part is solid wood, and the frame is solid American black walnut. It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut under hardwax oil.

Dust the panels with a soft dry cloth, and refresh them with a hardwax-oil maintenance product. The oil resists water but isn't waterproof, so wipe spills promptly.

Knots, sapwood edges and mineral streaks are natural walnut, not defects. There may be a slight smell when you unpack it. Keep the room ventilated.

Ordering the Lior

We make each Lior to order. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and it reaches you about 10 to 18 weeks after you order. It arrives fully assembled.

Standard shipping is free across the contiguous United States, excluding remote areas. You have 90 days after receiving your order to request a return. Custom dimensions, custom finishes and special-order modifications are not eligible for return.
