The Noren walnut dining chair sets a curved solid walnut backrest on a matte black metal frame. The seat is black microfiber leather, a synthetic, over foam.
Walnut where your back rests, metal below
The backrest is a curve of solid walnut. Everything below it is a matte black metal frame, with an X-shaped brace under the seat.
The back can hook over the edge of your table, so you can hang the chair up to clear the floor. Pads under the feet protect the floor.
Only the backrest is walnut
The frame and the X-brace are metal, and the seat cover is synthetic microfiber leather. If you want an all-wood chair, look at the Soren or the Sora.
It has a low back: 28.3 in (72 cm) tall overall. For a taller back, the Maren stands 33.1 in (84 cm).
Seat size and height
The seat is 17.3 in wide and 16.1 in deep (44 × 41 cm), 17.7 in (45 cm) off the floor. Overall the chair is 19.7 in wide, 19.7 in deep and 28.3 in tall (50 × 50 × 72 cm).
Under the cushion, the seat base is solid wood. There are no arms.
The walnut backrest
Every wooden part is solid wood, and the backrest is solid American black walnut. It's Appalachian FAS-grade walnut, and we finish it in hardwax oil.
Dust it with a soft dry cloth, and wipe spills promptly: the oil resists water but isn't waterproof.
Ordering the Noren
Order one chair, or a set of 2, 4, 6 or 8. We make each Noren to order, and it arrives fully assembled. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and it reaches you about 10 to 18 weeks after you order.
Standard shipping is free across the contiguous United States, excluding remote areas. You have 90 days after receiving your order to request a return. Custom dimensions, custom finishes and special-order modifications are not eligible for return.
