Built like a small chest

The case is 100% solid American black walnut on a mortise-and-tenon frame; the two drawers are five-piece boxes joined with English dovetails and running on concealed, full-extension soft-close slides. Pulls are carved into the drawer faces — no hardware to catch a sleeve in the dark.

The right height for most beds

At 19" tall, the Heritage lands level with mattress tops in the 18–24" range — the standard box-spring and hybrid-bed zone. Designers repeat one rule for nightstands: match the mattress height. This is the one to match taller beds; our Helios covers low platform beds.

What goes where

The top (20" × 15", rated 150 lb) carries lamp, water, phone, and the current book. Each drawer swallows 16.5" × 13" × 5.5" of the private kit — medications, chargers, journals — 55 lb per drawer, closed with a fingertip.

Will it match my bed height?

The top sits 24" from the floor, which pairs with mattress tops from about 22" to 26" — most box-spring and hybrid setups. The designer rule is nightstand level with mattress; if you sleep on a low platform bed nearer 18", our Helios nightstand is the better match.

Are the drawers really dovetailed?

Yes — five-piece solid-wood boxes with English dovetail corners, visible when you open them. Dovetails only work in solid wood, so the joint doubles as proof there is no particleboard hiding anywhere.

Do the drawers close quietly?

Concealed undermount slides with soft-close — a fingertip push and they glide shut silently, which matters at midnight more than any spec sheet suggests.

What fits inside?
