The Pebble is a walnut upholstered bed whose headboard is two separate cushions, one for each sleeper. Behind them, a lumbar panel tilts out when you want to sit up.

A headboard in two halves

Each side of the bed gets its own cushion. Both sit on a padded back framed in walnut.

The cushions are filled with white goose down blended with fiber fill. The back panel behind them is padded with high-resilience foam.

A lumbar panel sits behind the cushions and tilts out. Tilt it for a more upright seat, or leave it back for more recline.

Cushions off, covers off

Lift a cushion off the frame, and its cover unzips for cleaning. The four colors are beige, white, green and black.

From the side, it reads as a walnut floating bed, because the legs sit back under the frame. There's 6.3 in (16 cm) of clear space underneath. Anti-slip pads for the legs come with the bed.

Rails and legs have rounded corners. The bed leaves room for a baseboard, so it can sit against the wall.

Slats and the mattress

The slats are solid pine, left unfinished. Your mattress sits on them directly, so you don't need a box spring. It sits 1.8 in (4.5 cm) down inside side rails 5.5 in (14 cm) tall.

Walnut under hardwax oil

The frame is solid American black walnut, and every wooden part is solid wood. We use Appalachian FAS-grade walnut with mortise-and-tenon joinery, kiln-dried to 8 to 10% moisture.

The finish is hardwax oil. A slight smell on unpacking is normal; keep the room aired. Grain and color vary from board to board, and that's not a defect.

Sizes, and one figure we don't have

Both sizes fit standard US mattresses: Queen 60 × 80 in and King 76 × 80 in. The King measures 80.1 × 86.8 in (203.5 × 220.5 cm) overall and 43.3 in (110 cm) tall.

We don't have a confirmed overall size for the Queen yet. If your room is tight, ask us before you order.

Ordering the Pebble

We build each Pebble to order. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and delivery is about 10 to 18 weeks after you order.

Standard shipping is free across the contiguous United States, excluding remote areas. You have 90 days after receiving your order to request a return. Custom dimensions, custom finishes and special-order modifications are not eligible for return.
