Round Dining Tables

Our round walnut dining tables are solid American black walnut, and every wooden part is solid wood. Five of the seven also have steel or metal parts, named table by table below. We make each one to order in our own factory and finish it in hardwax oil. Production takes 6 to 10 weeks, and delivery is about 10 to 18 weeks after you order.

How to Choose a Round Walnut Dining Table

Four ways to hold up a round top

Four of these tables stand on a single pedestal, with no legs at the rim.
The Soren Round has a cross base of two walnut leg frames. The Suiseki has five legs that branch into Y shapes on a ring at the floor.
The Alden stands on four square legs with an apron. It's the only round table here that extends.

Single pedestals, and what they stand on

Each of the four pedestals is built its own way:

Rowan: a single cone of solid wood
Helios Round: a spiral column of stacked walnut layers on a painted steel disc
Kurumi: curved, half-moon walnut panels on metal foot caps
Cumberland Round Pedestal: a cylinder of rounded vertical staves, joined with mortise-and-tenon joinery

Three solid stainless steel bars are set under the Rowan, Helios Round and Cumberland Round Pedestal tops. With no corner legs, chairs can go anywhere around these four.

A cross, five branches and four legs

Soren Round: a cross base of two trapezoid walnut leg frames, not a pedestal
Suiseki: five legs branching into Y shapes on a floor ring 31.5 in (80 cm) across
Alden: four square legs and an apron, with two side leaves stored under the top

The Alden is the only one here that extends. With one leaf open it's a half-round, and its flat side stands against the wall. The Alden's leaves turn on brass-alloy hinges.

The Helios Round and the Soren Round each have a white lazy Susan that sits on the top and turns. Both tables work with or without it.

Sizes and seats, table by table

The tops here run from 47.2 to 59.1 in (120 to 150 cm) across. The smallest is the Suiseki, which comes 47.2, 51.2 or 55.1 in (120, 130 or 140 cm).

The Rowan, Helios Round, Kurumi, Cumberland Round Pedestal and Alden, opened, come 53.1 or 59.1 in across (135 or 150 cm). The Soren Round comes in one size, 59.1 in (150 cm).

We give seat counts only where we have them for a size:

Are these round tables solid wood?

Every wooden part is solid wood, and the walnut is solid American black walnut. Some have metal parts: steel bars under the Rowan, Helios Round and Cumberland Round Pedestal tops, and the Helios Round's steel disc. Kurumi has metal foot caps, and Alden brass-alloy hinges.

Which round tables have a pedestal base?

The Rowan, Helios Round, Kurumi and Cumberland Round Pedestal each stand on a single pedestal. The Soren Round has a cross base, the Suiseki five branching legs on a floor ring, and the Alden four square legs.

Does any round table extend?

Only the Alden. Two side leaves are stored under its top; open one for a half-round against the wall, or both for a full circle.
